Certified Playground Safety Inspections (CPSI)

What is More Important Than Protecting Your Child’s Safety?

Play is important to the overall well-being of children. Taking your child to the playground is a great way to get some exercise and allow him or her to enhance their imagination. Children are being encouraged to get active in their local parks. To facilitate this, many homeowner associations, schools, day care centers and community groups are installing elaborate playground structures to make play as attractive as possible for kids. But is it safe? According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, it is estimated that each year more than 167,000 injuries occur on public playgrounds. Tragically resulting in approximately 6 fatalities annually.

Therefore, inspecting your community’s playground should be a high priority. It is important to utilize a Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI).

Green-Up is Committed to Family Safety

Ensure the children in your community are safe by hiring a CPSI to inspect your community’s playground for potential hazards. Hiring a CPSI will help to spot potential hazards and will identify risks. Hiring Green-Up to conduct your Certified Playground Safety Inspection means that our Certified Inspector will provide you with a detailed report of your playgrounds condition with a comprehensive assessment of any part that does not meet standard, and/or appears to have the potential to fail. Along with that report, we will provide you (if desired) a proposal to repair or replace any parts that are a safety risk.

What is CPSI?

A Certified Playground Safety Inspector has been granted certification by the National Certification Board sponsored by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) to recognize and prevent potential playground hazards.

Founded in 1965, NRPA is the leading advocacy organization dedicated to the advancement of safe public parks and recreation opportunities. NRPA developed the training and certification program to train and inform professionals and the public on playground safety issues on the highest national standards.
